Last Moments of October

Wyoming weather is drastic and changes dramatically. Fall is short and I a rare opportunity to enjoy a calm and peaceful morning at Granite Reservoir in Curt Gowdy State Park. The forecast called for snow and high winds. I got up early in the morning and headed to the lake where I found a foggy scene with no wind!. The painting depicts the fall and suggestions of shoreline trying to peak through. There is emphasis on the orange standing out among the brown and gray with points of light from the sun trying to come through the clouds.
