Plumbush Creek

As an artist, it’s easy to battle with feelings of fear and self-doubt. But when you are painting en plein air and face to face with a beautiful, fleeting moment such as a sunset, it becomes a spiritual experience. The light moves and changes so rapidly that the mind has no time to get bogged down on small details or self-criticism. For this very reason, I find sunsets to be my favorite subject. It almost always guarantees to be an exhilarating experience of losing yourself entirely to the process.
