A memory of a late afternoon/evening walk around Green Vally Lake in CA while visiting with my sister last August. The universe blessed us with a lingering sunset painting fire across the horizon from the West while a full Hunter's moon rose bright and clear across the lake in the East. We didn't know we were witnessing a rare event - we just stood agog taking it in. Thankfully we did have the presence of mind to snap a few photos - however, the memory provided all the detail. This year, due to covid travel restrictions I can not visit my sister. This painting seeks to capture how much I am missing our yearly visit as much or more then the landscape of my memory.
