It is a Watercolour painting on Saunders 300 hundred gsm rough paper. I have painted it in my studio after watching a documentary about impressionist art, one of my favourite periods of the history of art. Even though I live in England I born and brought up in Alleppey, a small town in Southern India. Partially I have been recollecting memories of my hometown surrounded with canals, lakes and the Sea. There are water Lillies blossoms in abundance many parts of the lake in Alleppey. So the inspiration is a combination of the great Master Monet and the elegant beauty of my village. I used Daniel Smith watercolours to portray my story mostly. Such a wonderful pigments I have been using for the last six years. I love watercolours with a burning passion and dedication. I keep painting learning and exploring new techniques and simplicity to convey my vision in watercolours.
