Bathed in the light of an evening sun, the daughter of a neighbour stands against a corner post supporting the deck overlooking the lake. Several pre-studies were done in preparation for the final drawing, where the soft lines and surfaces of her figure and clothing contrast sharply with the worn texture she leans up against.
