September Dream

Oil on linen canvas panel. The yellow orange and green aspen along the river glowed and were compliments to the blue, red purple reflections of the sky in the river. The scene was so beautiful it seemed unreal. It would only last 3 or 4 more days. I wanted to paint this fleeting moment before the next weather front came through bringing winter color and cold weather for 9 months.
